Bike Rental Agreement and Terms & Conditions
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of renting bicycles, equipment, or booking a guided tour with Transphere s.r.o.. Please read this document carefully. By signing below, you confirm that you have understood and agreed to all terms.

1. Bike Condition and Inspection
- All bicycles are rented out in clean, roadworthy condition.
- Customers must inspect and test the bicycle (gears, brakes, tires, air pressure, etc.) before departing and confirm its good condition.
- The customer accepts the equipment “as is” and is responsible for returning it in the same condition, except for reasonable wear and tear.
- Cleanliness: Bikes must be returned free of mud and debris. A CZK 100 cleaning fee will apply if returned excessively dirty.
2. Damage, Repairs, and Responsibility
- Any damage due to misuse, crashes, or neglect (e.g. broken spokes, bent rims, damaged frames or handlebars) will be repaired at the customer’s expense.
- Parts will be charged at retail value, and labor at standard shop rates.
- Customers are responsible for careful and reasonable use of all rented equipment.
3. Theft, Loss, and Overnight Storage
- In case of theft, loss, or total damage, the customer agrees to reimburse Transphere s.r.o. based on the replacement value of the bicycle and accessories.

- The customer must:
- Report theft immediately to Transphere s.r.o.
- File a police report at the nearest station
- Provide proof that the bike was properly locked and stored according to policy.
Important: Bikes must be stored indoors or in a secure facility overnight, never left unattended on the street between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Failure to comply will void theft protection and result in full reimbursement liability.
4. Mechanical Competence & Group Travel
- For multi-day rentals or cross-country tours, the customer must:
- Be a regular cyclist
- Be able to fix basic mechanical issues (e.g. punctures, minor brake/gear adjustments)
- Know how to seek help from local bike shops if needed
- For group travel, at least one group member should have basic mechanical skills, as no roadside assistance can be provided during the rental period.
5. System Weight Limit
To protect the integrity of the bicycle and for safety reasons, the total system weight (rider + gear + luggage + bike) must not exceed:
- 130 kg for Touring Bikes
- 115 kg for Trekking / City Bikes
The customer confirms they meet this requirement by signing this agreement.
6. Liability Waiver
By signing this agreement, the customer:
- Releases and discharges Transphere s.r.o. from any liability for injury, illness, death, or loss or damage to personal property during the rental or tour.
- Confirms that all questions have been answered by Transphere staff to their satisfaction.
