If you rent bikes in Prague to go to Dresden and can’t or prefer not return them personally (e.g. by train) , this is a safe and inexpensive solution. Our partners operating a shuttle service along the Elbe bike path will pick up the bikes from you (or a person assigned by you) in Dresden and bring them back to our service point in Prague.
Taking a bike on the train from Dresden to Prague is possible and only costs EUR 9. However, space for bicycles is limited and you need to reserve on time as this is a very popular route during the cycling season. Unfortunately, you can’t book bike transfer tickets for international trains from Germany on-line (via bahn,de or their app), but only at a vending point, typically a railway station in Germany. This makes the bike transfer from Dresden to Prague by train quite complicated, unless you’re traveling solo and have enough time on your hands.
